The first chapter of Ladies on Wheels, also know as "L.O.W. Riders" was started in Austin, TX by Kelly, "Cysta" in 2004. The club was created to inspire passion of riding among women and to promote a positive image of female riders.
The San Antonio Chapter was co-founded by Bree, "Breezy" and Debra, "Street" in November 2005. Breezy served as president from 2005 to 2011 while "Street" has been president since 2011. The San Antonio chapter has grown from 2 to over 50 members. Our members are from all walks of life and ride all types of "motorcycles", including trikes and spyders. Our members enter the group with different motorcycle riding experience. You do not need to ride a motorcycle to enjoy the club as some of our members prefer to BOB or riding back of the bike. Some prospects like to join us to see if riding a motorcycle is something they would be interested in pursuing.
Each month the San Antonio chapter has a social event, which is usually held at a local restaurant, and 1-2 chapter rides. The monthly chapter rides are usually local in the Texas Hill Country. We also have several events restricted to members only including: yearly rally with other L.O.W. Chapters, a rally with only San Antonio members yearly long-haul ride to destinations around the country. The L.O.W. Riders also support the community by participate in many different ---- events.
